We're planting Nip!
Boo loves growing her own catnip and likes to start a new seed every year, and today seemed the perfect day. Catnip (Nepata Cataria) has little pink blooms that attracts bees and other pollinators, and Boo looks bootiful amongst the blooms. As part of the mint family, it can quickly take over any garden and should be monitored for overgrowth to prevent it from becoming invasive. Catnip grows well in any size pot and is great for small spaces like windowsill gardens. As a purrenial herbaceous plant, catnip will come back year after year with care and pruning. Cats should be monitored when having free range access to catnip, too much and they could get an upset tummy.
Don't forget about the sun and cover your head when you're in the garden! We've just redesigned the Official Cat Lady Trucker Hat to include room for your name so you can let everyone know you're an Official Cat Lady while planting your Nip! The nylon mesh in the back will keep your head cool and shaded, while the foam front will keep sweat from dripping into your eyes. We love wearing our Official Cat Lady Trucker Hat and you will too!
